McW Christmas: Part 2, Sydney

We arrived back in Sydney on the 23rd so that we could get ready for Christmas at home.

We woke to a glorious day on the 25th and headed down to the beach for the annual club swim.  Sam completed it easily which is amazing given he hasn't much experience in ocean swimming and the swell was quite rough.

Best Christmas present!

Boxing Day always involves a walk up to Tania Park to watch the start of the Sydney to Hobart.

We did a lovely walk up to Barrenjoey Lighthouse which was a first for us.

We spent a day in Sydney and tried to recreate a photo that we got of the 4 kids in 2009.

The McPherson gene is strong within these two!  They could be sisters.

We had dinners with the Wakes-Millers, Rivers and Mennies.

New Years Eve was spent on a jet cat watching the 9 o'clock City fireworks.  It was amazing to be on the water and so close to the action and the storm that passed us just before the start of the fireworks did nothing to dampen our spirits!

Happy New Year!
