A break at the Farm - pun intended!

Jules and Tom disappeared up to the Farm for a boys weekend just the two of them and Ted.  They had a wonderful time riding around on the bikes and saw loads of wildlife in particular foxes and wombats.

Can you spot what Ted didn't!!!

Tess and I stayed at home and Tess studied and hung out with her friends whilst I did exciting things like Marie Kondo'd my tupperware drawer - crazy days!  I also had a 50th birthday party on Saturday night and a Sunday afternoon session at Hugo's with the girls because Kate was in town.

Just as I was about to head out on Sunday afternoon I got a call from Jules saying that Tom had injured his arm whilst riding the motorbike to the extent that he couldn't ride the bike back to the farm house.  I need to be clear though that Tom wasn't riding fast on his bike but he did have his arms locked straight which you should never do.  He hit something in the long grass and took all the impact to his hand at the handlebars.  I didn't think much of it until the next morning when I noticed Tom was holding his arm funnily.  To cut a long story short the specialist believes there may be a slight fracture in the scaphoid on his right hand and has put him in plaster for a week at which point we'll take another X-ray and reassess.  Tom has a certain amount of expertise in broken bones *insert eye roll emoji* and he doesn't believe it's broken because he hasn't been in enough pain.  Fingers crossed!!
Never have straight arms whilst riding!
Tom's face says it all

When I texted Tess letting her know of the potential break she wrote back:  "Oh dear that might be an issue for his life style" - the mistress of understatement!
