A new surf craft for Tom

Now that Tom is in U14s for nippers he needs a racing mal which is a type of paddle board that you either lie or kneel on and propel yourself forward with your arms.  The type of mal you buy depends on your weight and Jules has been on the look out for a suitable one for Tom.  He was lucky that he was browsing the various second hand sites on Friday night just as a perfect one became available and 5 minutes later it was Tom's.  Tom used it for the first time on Sunday (sadly I don't have any photos) and seemed very happy with it.

Jen is currently in town (from HK) so us girls made our standard pilgrimage to Hugo's and consumed quite a few Lychee Mees.

Jules has had a yearning for a chainsaw to take up to the farm.  He saw an advert during the week that Aldi was selling them just in time for Father's Day.  It was just as well I accompanied him as he was close to getting very carried away with the special buys.  We almost came home with a leather bike jacket, a motorcycle helmet, 4WD recovery tracks and some fancy Italian soft drink!
