Fires and Floods

After all the fires we have just had a weekend of torrential rain - approximately 300mm fell over the weekend and most of the rain was on Sunday.  The dam levels have gone from mid 40% to mid 60% in a matter of days.

Tom and Jules made a dash up to the farm to see how everything is getting on.
Although the farm is getting some rain it is nowhere near the volumes we're getting on the coast.  You can see how dry it still looks.
Tom has been enjoying driving the LandCruiser.
It was cold enough in the evening for a cosy fire.

Back in Sydney Tess had water polo on Saturday morning and then had some friends round in the afternoon.  They ended up being invited to a party and coming back to ours for a sleepover once the party had finished.  In the morning, with the torrential rain, they decided to head up to Tania Park with the boogie boards for some puddle surfing - I love that 16 year old girls are still prepared to do that!  They caught up with Ed Shelbourne who found himself having a shower with 3 gorgeous girls to warm up after all that mud and rain.

Tom is always trying to get Jules to give him a back rub at bed time and Ted now gets in on the action by demanding an ear rub at the same time!
