Welcome George!!

Caroline gave birth to George Austin Gidney on Sunday morning.  My brother has always been a bit of a numbers geek and he was delighted that George was born on 02.02.2020 - it's the first time in 909 years that a date has been a palindrome.  George is just gorgeous and I wish I was able to give him lots of cuddles!

Tess and Tom started back at school last week with Tom starting at a new school.  He's now at St Augustine's which is an all-boys catholic school in Brookvale which is a little closer than his previous school.  He's gone from having 65 boys in his year to 215 boys so it will be quite different for him but he seems to know half of the boys already through all his external activities.  It's early days but we're all feeling good about the move.

It was a very hot and sticky weekend so we spent lots of time down at the beach making the most of the sea breeze.  Tom had the Branch Nippers Carnival on Sunday which was slow and long but he and his team mates, Duncan and Harry, came 3rd in the boys board relay which means they've qualified to compete in that race at State Nippers which takes place in March.
Tom's board is the red, white and grey one
