The Tess Trifecta

Taken on the day of her birthday

Tess turned 17 on Thursday and she had quite the week of achievements after a difficult year and a particularly stressful September with Year 11 final exams, piano exam and her driving test all in the same month.  The trifecta consists of:

  • Appointed School Captain (this is not actually Captain of the entire school but Captain of School House however I have told Tess that in the future she can be as specific as she likes on that point!)
  • Awarded an A in her Grade 8 piano exam.  Seriously, you can't do better and it's the final grade - it means so much to me given my love of the piano and I know that my mother would have been thrilled to bits too.
  • Passed her driving test first time.  She is an excellent driver and it would have been a travesty if she hadn't passed but you never know what can go wrong and it was a very stressful 45 minutes!
Love the formal letter

Tess' birthday fell on the last day of term so we celebrated the night before with a quick dinner at Chica Bonita and cake and presents back at home.  Do you know how upsetting it is that with my love of baking the requested cake was a cheap and nasty chocolate mud cake from Coles!

We haven't seen the Golf since about 1.15pm on Friday...
