I'm sure lots of exciting things happened last week but I spent the weekend in hospital having my appendix removed so I can't really remember any of them! My stomach started hurting on Friday afternoon and I put it down to indigestion but after a horrendous night of being sick and not able to sleep Jules decided to take me to hospital where I was diagnosed with appendicitis. The offending appendage was whipped out on Saturday evening and I was allowed back home on Sunday afternoon. I'm feeling a bit sore and taking things slowly but thank goodness the pain has gone!
Tom had a busy weekend doing water safety for the Cole Classic swim on Sunday morning. The surf was quite large and he had a very busy time rescuing at least 15 people who couldn't make it back into the beach through the big surf. It's occasions like that which make you really appreciate the skills he has developed over the years.
