For Christmas, Kate and I arranged to get sailing shirts made up for Kia Kaha and her crew - don't they look smart!

They had a great race on Friday evening followed by sandwiches and beers sitting on the boat on the mooring, a lovely habit that they have recently formed.
The sail cover needed fixing and this fabulous man, Bob, turned up in his custom designed truck to fix it. I spent about 2 hours talking to him as he was fascinating, originally from Liverpool but made his way to Australia, mostly overland and having all sorts of adventures on the way, when he was in his early twenties. He did an amazing job with the sail cover - a true craftsman.
I managed to get a rare picture of Tess and some of her friends as they whisked her away on Friday evening. I can't get used to these young girls turning up in their smart Lexus' and BMWs!

Tom had his first surf contest of the year and after fighting through 2 rounds came 2nd in the U18s final. A great achievement!
I leave you with photos of these amazing get well flowers my friends bought me. I particularly like the gum blossom - so dainty and pretty.
