We came out of lockdown 2 weeks ago after being restricted to our houses for 15 weeks and for me FOGO (Fear Of Going Out) is real! For Tom and myself life didn't feel that much different during lockdown - he was able to surf with his friends and I was able to walk with mine. In fact one of the things I loved most about lockdown was the fact that I could be sociable with various walks during the day but I was always in bed by 9.30 at the latest without appearing "boring"!! Tess struggles with lockdown and has been much much happier now that we're out of it. Jules managed fairly well but found work harder because even a quick 2 minute conversation meant a 10 minute call with the required niceties. He's back in the office almost full time now and working marginally less in the evenings.
Tess has 4 more weeks of study and exams and then she will be finished with school for ever. She decided she'd like a few "organisational" tools to help her with her study so my first entry to a retail shop ended up being a trip to Ikea - along with half of Sydney!!!
Jules had the first twilight race on Friday night (how happy does he look in the photos!) and then a boys night at the pub on Saturday. He and the boys found themselves looking in vain for a taxi at 11pm so who did they call - Uber Tess! Luckily she finds the turned tables very amusing!
Since Tom's trip to Arnhem Land he's developed a keen interest in Bush Tucker and was delighted to receive 2 books on the subject. He's going camping with his mates in December and is planning on foraging for food - what could possibly go wrong?
