Tom has been amusing us with some of the comments he's been coming up with lately. Today we asked him to tidy up some of his toys and in true Tom fashion he complained the whole time and said he was like FarmerDuck who is a character from one of his books who works all day whilst the farmer lies in bed and eats chocolates. For those who know Tom you'll realise that he's much more like the farmer than the duck - it's his sister who always tidies up after him. Then this afternoon I walked into the bathroom to find it slowly flooding because Tom had left the plug in the sink and the tap dripping. Tom turned around and told Jules off for not realising that he was flooding the bathroom and said "it's a bit like that silly duck whose bath overflowed" - that's Fix-it-Duck. So what we've learnt from all this is that one way or another Tom is a duck - he just can't decide which one!
The Wakes-Miller's came round for dinner on Saturday night and we had a lovely evening with the kids all playing hide and seek before dinner and then sitting down for movie night afterwards which gave the grown-ups plenty of time to actually have an uninterrupted conversation! Whilst talking I realised that I'm the only one who hasn't done some kind of sporting challenge this year - I don't see any reason to change that statistic!
The photos this week are all taken with my latest iphone app which is Hipstamatic - there are all sorts of different camera lenses and film types that you can choose from to recreate old style photos. I love some of the effects and need to do a lot more playing.
