The shadow is my hand holding the iPhone!
We've had amazing weather all week and the kids and I headed down to the beach on Wednesday after school. They boogie boarded for a while and then wave jumped and rolled around in the water both so happy. Netball started in earnest with our first training session on Thursday and a development day on Saturday. The poor girls were red as lobsters due to the hot sun but it was a great day and they really enjoyed playing together for the first time as a team. Sadly, because I'm manager and running around like a headless chook pretending I know what I'm doing, I didn't get any photos.
Whilst I was at netball Jules took Tom to his end of season T-ball party and trophy presentation. In the annual report the coaches wrote a sentence or 2 about each child and for Tom they said: "Most enthusiastic player. Tom is always looking to get the ball and make a play and contributes well to training exercises and game days."
I really needed a nice cool drink after netball and luckily we had Scott and Robyn Burgess and Scott and Grazia Douglas round for dinner that evening. The two Scotts had never met before but within minutes we'd established that they were basically twins separated at birth with their name just the first of a huge number of coincidences in their lives!
Another glorious day on Sunday so we headed down to the beach taking Ruby along with us and meeting Robert down there. Tom took his surf board and I was seriously impressed with the number of waves he caught and stood up on.
During the week Tess brought home a sealed envelope containing a note for me from her teacher. My first thought was "oh no, what has Tess done?" which was obviously extremely unfair because the note was lovely - we're very proud of her too!
