After a quiet Friday night Saturday morning kicked off with the kids sport. Tom's rugby team had their toughest outing of the season and got well and truly done over by their opposition. They felt pretty battered and bruised afterwards but its all part of the learning experience and I'm sure they'll bounce back. Meantime Tess' netball team continued their winning ways - they haven't lost a game yet this season.
In the afternoon the school senior band that Tess plays clarinet participated in a band festival. Lots of schools entered and played three pieces each. Tess' band played really well and we enjoyed seeing them along with all the other proud parents there. On Saturday night I headed out to the local RSL with Craig to watch the Lions beat the Waratahs. Great game but too many beers. Uncle Robbie as he's known to the kids had been out to the stadium for the game and had a much sorer head than me on Sunday morning so we decided that a Manly beach session was the only cure. Tom had a surf and I helped him out while the others sat on the beach and had a coffee.
The weather was glorious again and the water temperature still great at 20 degrees. Tess and Lenks had a netball get together in the afternoon. After a spot of work I took Robert and Tom down for a long late afternoon walk (Tom on skateboard) along Manly beach - a lovely way to end another weekend which was far too short.
