Winter weather arrives

The amazingly warm weather we've been experiencing, think temperatures around 25C each day, finally came to an end and once again we all found ourselves surprised that it could get so cold in Sydney.  Together with the warmer weather we've also had no rainfall and water restrictions are being reintroduced in Sydney for the first time in 10 years.  I've been enjoying giving my thermomix a work out and making lots of warming soups.  

Tess had her piano exam on Friday.  She said it went reasonably well but she didn't play as well as she did at the concert last week.  We get the results on Wednesday so not long to wait.  

Tess had her Athletics Carnival on Thursday and came away with 2 ribbons, 1st for 200m and 3rd for 100m, which is particularly impressive given she's been fighting a bad cold all week.  

Tom had his monthly surf competition on Saturday.  The waves were large and messy making it hard to get any decent scores.  He ended up third which he was disappointed with although all the scores were very low so there wasn't much between the competitors.
