Don't mention the tow bar

Tom had a school music performance which, due to Covid, we weren't able to watch live but we got sent this awesome photo.

I may have put a dent and a scratch on the new car the first time I drove it.  It's a long story involving the tow bar and Tom's bike so I maintain that it wasn't entirely my fault but we will speak no more of it.

This is Tom coming home after the late shift which normally finishes at 11pm but due to excessively cold weather and rain they shut up shop early.

We caught up with John and Leanne on Saturday night which was amazing.  We haven't seen John since last December so that catch up was long overdue and such a pleasure.

I spent the entire weekend oiling the new deck.  We're still waiting for the landscapers to finish the fire pit area and then I'll do a big reveal.  I did take some photos to show but noticed that there's an ugly towel hanging over the railings which somewhat ruins the effect!

We popped into see Duncan and Bella's new kittens on Sunday afternoon.  It was a lovely warm evening and we spent a very pleasant hour sitting in the afternoon sun.

And it would be wrong not to mention the US Election that has kept us on tenterhooks this week with the world wondering whether the US would finally get rid of the monstrosity that has been President Trump.  The result was frighteningly close but Biden was finally declared the winner on Sunday morning - what a relief!
