Another birthday celebration

Friday night is Twilight night and Kia Kaha had another good race - I'm not sure where they placed but they had a lovely time. It was a glorious evening with some strong winds - exactly how they like it.  

On Sunday I had bbq duty for the surf club in 39 degree heat - I was on cooking duty so I felt like I'd definitely done my bit for the community!  Tom had a shift at Ben and Jerry's so I popped in there for an ice cream to help me cool down.  This is the face a 15 year old makes when they realise their mum has come to see them at work. 

After some serious exfoliating to get rid of the greasy bbq smell I was ready for another lunch to celebrate Kate's 50th.  This time girls only at Manly Pavilion.  We had such a wonderful lunch with a top bunch of girls.  Jules picked us up at about 6pm and 2 of our 5 passengers fell over once they got out of the car - possibly an issue with the new car ;)
