We had an interesting week weather-wise with the temperatures dropping to 14 degrees on Wednesday - the coldest October day in 30 years. I'm glad to say that by Saturday they were back up to 25 degrees which is more like it!
Jules and I went to a work colleagues wedding on Saturday which was a lovely affair. The reception was held in Luna Park which is right on the harbour with views onto the bridge and Opera House. It is the longest we've ever left the kids with a babysitter so it was a real treat.
Sunday was spent recovering from the excesses of the night before and we took the kids bike riding along the beach front at Manly. Tess is getting very confident on her bike (discovering how to brake helped!) but Tom just doesn't get the concept of pedalling although he loves being pushed along - perhaps that's the problem?! In the afternoon we went over to Duncan and Bella's to meet Iona who was born last Friday. Her brothers are clearly besotted as you can see from the photo. It was a lovely evening with Clive and Alison over from the UK so we had a big family dinner all sitting at the same huge table (with benches made by Dunc!).
