It's the long weekend and we've got really stuck into replacing the swimming pool deck. Jules has removed all the old frame and has started putting the new frame in. I've managed to plant 7 of our 8 new bamboo plants to provide a screen between our house and the next door house. Friday was a scorcher with temperatures reaching 37 degrees. Poor Jules almost passed out trying to mix quick set cement in the heat whilst I entertained the kids down at the local swimming pool - yes I definitely got the better gig this time! Meanwhile the rest of the house is also a building site with the carpet ripped up on Wednesday and particle board put down ready to lay the new floor boards. The kitchen is being pulled out on Thursday and we'll be using the laundry as a makeshift kitchen for the next 2 weeks.
This evening was the NRL Grand Final - Manly Sea Eagles v The Melbourne Storm - Manly won 40-0 - go Manly!!!!
