Another wet weekend!

The weather is truly dreadful here at the moment - incredibly humid and muggy with ridiculous amounts of rain so everything in the house feels slightly damp. Jules did the ICAA regatta on Friday in 40 degree heat followed by the twilight. I had Leanne and Alayne around during the day and we spent the entire time in the swimming pool. I got out of the pool long enough to pick up Tess, James and Olivia from school and then we all got back into the pool again and stayed in for a swim in the rain which was always a favourite thing to do when I was little. In the evening the sailors arrived back and we had dinner with John and Leanne here too. The heavens opened and there was water pouring from at least 3 of our light fittings in the sitting room and our gutters were so full that when it was time to leave our guests had to navigate the sheet of water pouring off the car port!

Saturday and Sunday were both quiet days which we needed. I picked up my new computer and spent most of the day trying to get it up and running - very frustrating. The kids went to Fletcher's 3rd birthday party at an indoor play centre which was a big hit (and fortunate given the rain). Jules took the kids for a bike ride and run around on Manly beach on Sunday afternoon - I thought the picture of them running in opposite directions was very typical!

Rae is now in New Zealand for the next 4 weeks catching up with family and also doing a bit of a tour with her friend Jenny. I miss the extra pair of hands and Tess has been unimpressed with being back at after school care 3 days a week!
