A small car accident

Jules was away on a boys weekend and Tess and I had a small car accident.  We were at water polo and I parked the car in a cul-de-sac with driver side to the kerb.  Tess opened her door without looking first and a car slammed into it.  We were both in shock and so grateful that Tess didn't get hurt.  Luckily we were able to pull the door vaguely into place and get back home safely.  Needless to say it wasn't one of Tess' finer water polo games.

The nipper carnival season started with the Bennett board carnival at Dee Why beach.  This was Tom's first carnival since starting serious swimming squads and general fitness and it was amazing to see how he can now power through the waves and give a lot of his peers a run for their money.  He's loving the feeling of being stronger which spurs him on even more.

The weekend after the boys weekend was the girls weekend. We stayed in Gerringong in a fabulous house with amazing views out to the ocean.  Whilst there we saw lots of whales, dolphins and an echidna.  We went walking every morning along the cliff tops and spent a lovely day wandering around Berry.  We ate in both nights because the house was so fabulous and there were enough of us who love cooking so it seemed a shame to leave the house especially considering the contents of the fridge!
